Neve Cambell Says Wes Craven Is On To Direct Scream 4!

BlackBook caught up with Neve Campbell who talked about her upcoming projects, including Scream 4.

Campbell is "pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing" Scream 4. "It is going to be great."

About her co-stars David Arquette and Courteney Cox, she says, "I haven't spoken to them in a while. I'm sure it took a while to convince them to take part [in the picture], especially because they're now a very happy family, and of course, it was a long journey for them. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, and a lot like going back to summer camp."

Campbell said that shooting begins in mid-April. "I'm so happy that those of us still "alive" from 1, 2 and 3 like David (Arquette) and Courtney (Cox) have already signed up to take part."

Here Is Your First LOOK @ Shrek Forever After!

USA Today revealed a first look at DreamWorks Animation's Shrek Forever After, which is the fourth and final film in the series.

Shrek Forever After will hit theaters and IMAX in 3D on May 21st. The first trailer will be unveiled with James Cameron's Avatar, which opens on December 18.

Director Mike Mitchell said:

Shrek is feeling over-domesticated in the fourth installment. He has lost his roar. It used to send villagers running away in terror. Now they run to him and ask him to sign their pitchforks and torches.
To regain his ogre mojo, he strikes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin, the wee troublemaker who popped up briefly in Shrek 2 and 3.

It has been rumored that Paul McCartney voices the vile schemer, but it is actually non-Beatle Walt Dohrn, the film's head of story, who does the honors.

Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz are back as the voices of Shrek, sidekick Donkey and ogress wife Fiona.

Comedians Kathy Griffin and Kristin Schaal are joining the voice cast as witches who hunt ogres. On the side of good is an underground resistance group led by Jon Hamm of Mad Men, who plays "the best-looking ogre you've ever seen," Mitchell says

Call Of Duty: Film Coming Soon!

With the latest video game breaking sales records left and right, it comes as no surprise that a feature film version is in the works. The New York Post recently spoke to actor Kevin McKidd, who voices the Captain "Soap" McTavish character in the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, who revealed that a Call of Duty film is picking up steam. Here's an excerpt from the article.

"They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn't get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film," he revealed to PopWrap. Then came the kicker, when asked if he would be bringing Soap to life in the movie, he said, "if the script is good, and Gerard isn't available [laughs], then absolutely."

McKidd, who also starred as Lucius Vorenus on the HBO series Rome, revealed that a feature film based off the series is currently being shopped around.

"There is a script that is being shopped and it's supposedly very good, I haven't seen it, but I am definitely going to be a part of the movie," Kevin told PopWrap. He then went on to say that his character, soldier/politician Lucius Vorenus, is not dead despite what happened in the show. "He very much alive, so that should be a fun story to tell."

I Will certainly keep you posted on both projects as soon as we have more information

More "Scream 4" Movie News

Courteney Cox-Arquette is coming back for Scream 4, and she recently spoke with Associated Press, and while she is indeed signed on, it doesn't seem that the script is ready yet.

"They're probably back living in Woodsboro," Cox said referring to the small California town that was the setting of the first film. "I think that he's probably still deputy, and I've had a lot of kids. I don't know. I'm probably miserable, and then I'm sure a lot of murdering will happen."

Original Scream writer Kevin Williamson is back on board, but after Cox-Arquette's comments, it's not clear how the film is coming along. We'll keep you posted on any new details on the film as soon as they arise

Is There Gonna Be Another Parnormal Activity???????

According to Los Angeles Times, it seems that Paramount Pictures is tossing around the idea of doing a sequel to their breakout hit Paranormal Activity.

The film cost $16,000 to make and has pulled in $62.5 at the U.S. box office. Here is what Paramount Chairman Brad Grey had to say:

"We have the rights on a worldwide basis to do Paranormal 2 and we're looking to see if that makes some sense."

Paramount bought the movie for $300,000 and spent less than $10 million on marketing. The film is looking like it will make more than $100 million in the U.S. alone. This would make Paranormal Activity the most profitable film for the studio since Grey came on board in 2005 and maybe the studio's history.

Another reason why the studio could make a sequel is because it has worldwide rights to the sequel. Having those overseas rights could make the project even more profitable.

Paranormal Activity opens in foreign countries Friday.

Sylvester Stallone Getting Back In The Ring With Rocky 7????

According to Teen Say, Sylvester Stallone is planning on getting back in the ring with Rocky 7 once he finishes making Rambo V: A Savage Hunt.

The actor had this to say about the prospects of another Rocky film:

"I know I'll probably make a fool of myself if I make another 'Rocky' film after turning 60. I also know there's gonna be a lot of criticism. Even my wife says, 'Don't do it. You're embarrassing the kids'. But I told her, 'If I don't try I'll be a really unhappy man.'

Despite all this, Stallone seems to have a lighthearted mindset about Rocky 7:
"I know it's ludicrous and everyone would laugh. I would laugh about it. But I also know that I'd be successful if I can make this a film about becoming older, not about boxing but about myself."

Scary Movie Franchise To Be Rebooted!

It seems that not even spoofs are immune from remakes as a popular spoof series will be restarted. According to CinemaBlend, The Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films will be remaking their Scary Movie franchise with the next film.It was said that the film would feature all new characters, which would likely mean we won't see Anna Faris in the film, which makes sense seeing as she told Fangoria recently that, "I really have no answer," as to when a fifth Scary Movie film would come out. It was also reported that this reboot wouldn't be seen for some time, as they want to do the film after Scream 4....Which Is Set For an October 2010 Release Date
