BlackBook caught up with Neve Campbell who talked about her upcoming projects, including Scream 4.
Campbell is "pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing" Scream 4. "It is going to be great."
About her co-stars David Arquette and Courteney Cox, she says, "I haven't spoken to them in a while. I'm sure it took a while to convince them to take part [in the picture], especially because they're now a very happy family, and of course, it was a long journey for them. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, and a lot like going back to summer camp."
Campbell said that shooting begins in mid-April. "I'm so happy that those of us still "alive" from 1, 2 and 3 like David (Arquette) and Courtney (Cox) have already signed up to take part."

Director Mike Mitchell said:
With the latest video game breaking sales records left and right, it comes as no surprise that a feature film version is in the works. The New York Post recently spoke to actor Kevin McKidd, who voices the Captain "Soap" McTavish character in the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, who revealed that a Call of Duty film is picking up steam. Here's an excerpt from the article.
"They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn't get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film," he revealed to PopWrap. Then came the kicker, when asked if he would be bringing Soap to life in the movie, he said, "if the script is good, and Gerard isn't available [laughs], then absolutely."
McKidd, who also starred as Lucius Vorenus on the HBO series Rome, revealed that a feature film based off the series is currently being shopped around.
"There is a script that is being shopped and it's supposedly very good, I haven't seen it, but I am definitely going to be a part of the movie," Kevin told PopWrap. He then went on to say that his character, soldier/politician Lucius Vorenus, is not dead despite what happened in the show. "He very much alive, so that should be a fun story to tell."
I Will certainly keep you posted on both projects as soon as we have more information

It seems that not even spoofs are immune from remakes as a popular spoof series will be restarted. According to CinemaBlend, The Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films will be remaking their Scary Movie franchise with the next film.It was said that the film would feature all new characters, which would likely mean we won't see Anna Faris in the film, which makes sense seeing as she told Fangoria recently that, "I really have no answer," as to when a fifth Scary Movie film would come out. It was also reported that this reboot wouldn't be seen for some time, as they want to do the film after Scream 4....Which Is Set For an October 2010 Release Date

Despite the success of The Simpsons Movie the creators of The Simpsons TV series are not planning any sequel any time soon, at least not until the TV series finally wraps, according to Variety.
Matt Groening and showrunner Al Jean told helmer Morgan Spurlock, who was interviewing the duo at the Mipcom sales mart for a creative keynote event, that making the series and producing the movie was so exhausting that a sequel remains a distant prospect.
"It took 18 years to get around to doing the movie," Groening said. "We got very frustrated. We thought it would take two years but it ended up taking four. Some day maybe we'll do another one -- but don't hold your breath."
As for when the tentpole toon might shut up shop for good, the pair indicated that the final bow was not on the horizon. The current U.S. season is the 21st.
"We cannot predict the end because we can't believe we are still here today," explained Groening.
Jean added, "We are contracted to do two more seasons following this one. I gave up predicting the end a long time ago."
